This year’s 68th National Film Awards have been announced and this year’s Best Marathi Film Award has been given to Shantanu Ganesh Rode’s ‘Goshta Eka Paithnichi’ and Best Actor’s Special Jury Mention Award for ‘June’ has gone to Siddharth Menon. Both ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ and ‘June’ are produced by ‘Planet Marathi’ and ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ has Saili Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi in lead roles. The film is produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Abhayanand Singh, Chintamani Dagde under the banner of Planet Marathi, Golden Ratio Films, and Lakeside Productions.
Sayli Sanjeev says, “The work in the film has been done. I have worked hard for the film. The film is very special for me. I dedicate this award to my father.” The film’s director Shantanu Rode says, “It is a joy for me. Credit goes to the entire team. Everyone made sincere efforts for this and today the dream has come true.”
Reacting after receiving the award, Siddharth Menon says, “I am happy to receive the National Award. It feels like a dream come true. I dedicate this award to the entire team of our film. I am most happy to have won the award for the film ‘June’.” Suhrid Godbole, The film is directed by Vaibhav Khisti and the story is written by Nikhil Mahajan.
